It’s that time of year again when we hear “How fast has this year gone???” I think we’re all prone to saying that at some point but it honestly has gone fast !
It made me realize that it has been nearly 4 years since I started my business and I still feel like I’m riding the wave of success and growth which is an amazing feeling but it’s also like a whirlwind and I have to consciously stop to think about how much I really do enjoy it and not take it for granted.
I know I’m really fortunate to be busy and have a business that I’m proud of and enjoy every single day, I notice more and more how some people are not happy at work and don’t get that same ‘buzz’ that I do and I really feel for them.
I don’t want to come on here and brag but I also want people to remember that there is another way and it is really important to enjoy what you do with people you really want to work with.
Do we think we have to ‘make do’ or ‘just live with it’? The answer for me is…….NO ! I recently watched this fantastic video that you might have seen from Jim Carrey, take a look….
While I was on holiday in the Summer, something else that worked for me was reading ‘Who Moved my Cheese’ which is a fantastic short book by Spencer Johnson, it reinforced to me the importance of not getting stuck in a rut, but for me to be the one that made things happen, a definite must read.
One of the best things about my job and any other VA I know, is that we get to work with motivated and inspiring business owners who need somebody to brainstorm with and bounce ideas off, if you know somebody that could do with help on this, you know where to send them !
